Revit Training

MB Design Services, LLC also provides Autodesk Revit training and consulting.  Whether you need basic training for new users, or specific help, such as custom template setup, I am here to help you and your company see a quicker return on your software investment.

My focus is residential design, and I will show you the quickest way to design, model and document residential projects in Revit that is efficient and accurate, while conveying clear design intent to your client to get them to say “Yes!” sooner.

I call it “Home Builder BIM”, because residential construction is different, and our requirements from our design software are different.  Designing a home is so much more personal than a commercial project and our customers are not business people, but heads of households. It is an emotional process for our client and what is put before them needs to speak on an emotional level as well as a practical one.  At the same time, we need to document a very specific and technical process of building a structure efficiently, both in time and cost.

I can teach you and your company how I do this on a daily basis, using Autodesk Revit.  I have been designing homes and additions in Revit since 2003, and I would love to show you how to be quicker, less frustrated, more productive and get better results in less time.  I am happy to consult with your firm or come in and provide training classes onsite. I am currently writing the second part of my Beginner’s Class and will be authoring other classes on more advanced and specific topics such as Design Options and Quick Landscaping in the very near future.  If you are interested in discussing your or your companies Revit needs, feel free to contact me through the contact form on this website.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks!

Some testimonials of my consultant services

On several occasions, I have had Michael assist me as a ‘tutor’ and coach in understanding the procedures, custom options, and in developing 3D models for presentation. His knowledge of Revit, as well as other graphic and presentation programs, is extensive, and (he) has the patience to deal with even 67 year-olds like myself.  – Doug Gilpin, Architect

Michael is very knowledgeable in the Autodesk Revit software and was a fantastic teacher. He was very patient with all my questions about how to use the software and set certain things up within it. I’d recommend him to anyone looking to learn Revit.  -Cory Wright, Draftsman

Some testimonials of my new 3 day Revit Beginners One class

It’s a well-organized course for a new learner of Revit. It teaches comprehensively how to put a house together in Revit, without overwhelming the trainee.  A small singe family house modeling is best way to learn a complex program and to get information and tools to develop them as best practices.

I think it’s great – good pace with time to practice, clear, covered all the features and details for starting a project.

(Michael) is very thorough with the topics covered. He is patient instructor and extends himself to get the answers to complex questions.
